05.28.03 - Where the heck have we been?
Yeah, good question! Where HAVE we been? Well, back in the fall I noticed that the website was erroring out in a big
way and I realized it was because my crrrrappy host was changing stuff and not telling me. So I hit Grant G. up for
a little infusion from the Reunion account. He sent me a little check and bing, bang, boom... still nothing. So I gotz
this check right, but I'm too busy to move the site - which ain't easy - so it just sits there for what seems like
months! Oh wait, it was months. Anyhoo, finally I go to put it back online and realize that the database requires the
touches of an actual database programmer, and my original database programmer is off roaming the country somewhere, so more time passes.
Finally we caught a break! I'm sitting here talking to my main man, Matt Margush(Holly Perkins' husband), and he shows me how to fix the whole
database problem myself. And just like that, we're back in business!
While we were offline I also got in under the hood so to speak and made a couple a' special tweaks and upgrades. Here's the skinny on
those upgrades:
- Rotating class pics in the header
- The addition of the super-deluxe forum
- Better archiving, better host, better email tool (all techy stuff)
Anyway, the result is a better website. So take a look around and definitely check out the forum. It's a doozy!
